Plastic Free July may be over, but it’s still a hot topic among the many parents here at Asteron Life. We asked our team for their favourite reusable products that get the tick of approval from the toughest of critics – their kids!

School lunchboxes without the plastic

Brightly-coloured plastic packaging makes food look fun and flashy, but we’ve found some great reusable alternatives that are just as exciting – while avoiding the waste:

  • Reusable snack bags to replace those mini plastic bags (bonus: you can throw them in the washing machine to clean them!)
  • Beeswax covers instead of plastic wrap (if your kids are really keen, there are online recipes to make your own DIY versions)
  • Refillable yogurt pouches in cool colours to avoid those supermarket-bought squeezables (they’re also great for smoothies-on-the-go)
  • Playful cutters make sandwiches look extra tasty (pop leftover crusts you cut off in the freezer and whizz them up in the food processor to make instant breadcrumbs)
  • Freezable lunch bags to keep food cold all day long (brilliant for those hot summer days)

What is Life Insurance?

You can't predict the future, but you can help protect yourself against it. Life Insurance can provide a lump sum of money if you die or become terminally ill. It is designed to help your family pay costs that you would have helped with if you were still alive.
