At Asteron Life, we’re here to support you for life. We also know there are times when everyone needs a little extra support. That’s why, where we can, we’re offering practical assistance to customers we find are experiencing vulnerability of some kind.

What is vulnerability?

Sometimes things happen in life that might cause you to become vulnerable. It could be the joy (and sometimes the challenges!) that a new baby brings, or perhaps it’s the impact of a loved one passing away.

You’ll see that we’ve included a few examples of what vulnerability might look like. Our team use these as a guide to help identify opportunities to support our customers.

Asteron Life’s work on understanding customer vulnerability means our teams are trained to listen for cues that you may be experiencing vulnerability. If a potential vulnerability is identified by our support team, we'll work with you to suggest some possible solutions. In situations where we think specialist expertise could be helpful, our people know when and how to refer our customers so they can access that additional support.

Our partners

To help us provide the right assistance when it’s needed, Asteron Life has partnered with trusted community support services including Shine, Lifeline Aotearoa, Age Concern New Zealand, Good Shepherd and Money Talks.

Through their guidance, we’ve also developed a unique training programme for our entire New Zealand workforce to ensure they can identify customers who may be experiencing vulnerability.

Are you experiencing vulnerability?

If you’re an Asteron Life customer and are experiencing vulnerability, please let us know and we will do our best to support you. Click here to contact us.
