Middlemore Foundation started Jammies in June because too many kids in Middlemore Hospital’s catchment area, Counties Manukau, were getting sick and being admitted to hospital over winter.

The team at Kidz First hospital were seeing lots of illnesses, like acute rheumatic fever, that could be prevented. Keeping kids warm is an important part of fighting these diseases, but many children in Counties Manukau need help getting access to warm clothing.

This year Jammies in June aims to give away 40,000 pairs of new, flannelette pyjamas to children in the area, and we’ve joined the Jammie Army!

Asteron Life has just made our donation to Jammies in June: 50 pairs of flannelette pyjamas for the foundation to donate to kids in need in Counties Manukau. These PJs will be sent out to children-in-need this week!
