Asteron Life announces promo to help customers support local

18 October 2021

Asteron Life has announced a new promotion to thank its new customers for signing up, and give them some money to put back into their local community.

The promotion, which will run from 18 October to 17 December, will give qualifying customers vouchers to spend in their communities.

“We know how many New Zealand businesses have been struggling with the impact of Covid-19,” says Graham Hill, Executive Manager Life Distribution. “This promotion puts a bit of money into the pockets of customers and we hope they take the chance to shop local and support local businesses.”

Under the promotion, customers taking out a new policy with Asteron Life will receive a Prezzy Card  valued at $50 per $500 of annual premium (up to a maximum card value of $5,000).

Hill says that the impact of the recent Delta outbreak has been tough, and that while life insurance may not be top of mind for many New Zealanders, the duration of this lockdown has meant people can no longer put things on the back-burner.

“Insurance is an important part of Kiwis’ financial resilience toolkit. We wanted to find a creative way to give advisers support as they put offers together for their clients, while also providing customers with additional value and an easy way to put some money back into their local community at the same time as getting their critical insurances in place.”

Hill says that Asteron Life’s recently released product enhancements were already proving attractive to advisers and customers who wanted flexibility and support in their life insurance.

“We’ve had a lot of positive feedback on the enhancements we’ve announced, including the adjustments to our specific injury cover and our trauma expiry ages, and from business customers who have benefitted from the early release of business premium relief options,” he says.

“We’re pleased that these enhancements are now in place and will benefit new customers who come on board with us during this promotion.”
